Ortberg, John. When the Game is Over IT ALL GOES BACK IN THE BOX. Zondervan 2007.
Comment. Henry
In his easy going practical way John gives us his read on what is really involved in ‘playing the game of life’. The book is written in a story like form and is an easy read.
Using the analogy of a board game that is stored in a game box, John explains that at the end of the game everything goes back in the box. He defines the game, explains how it set up, how the game is played, what the hazards of the game are and how to win the game. Many practical issues of life are dealt with. Principles are identified and discussed. We are all in this ‘game’ but how we play it determines where we will end up and to what extent we will have been winners when everything goes back in the box (or urn).
